The Importance of Life Insurance

Life insurance isn’t something that we like to think about – we all like to think that nothing bad will ever happen to us, but the reality of it is that it can and sadly for some of us it will. If you have a family who are relying on you, then life insurance is a must.

The Importance of Life Insurance for everyone

How would your family cope without you? Some people think that life insurance is just for the breadwinner, but even if you are a stay at home parent, it is essential. I stay at home to look after our daughter Sophie, but what would Michael do if I weren’t here? We don’t currently need my income to live on, but if he were to continue work without me then there would be a massive increase in childcare costs.

Even as you get older and the children have left home, life insurance is a must have. If you don’t want full cover then a funeral plan is definitely worth considering – if anything were to happen, would your partner or children be able to afford the funeral you want or deserve?

Insure Me On Line offer a wide range of products to cover all circumstances, meaning that at such a difficult time for your loved ones, they don’t have to worry about the financial implications of your accident or death. My Mum never took out life insurance, and being an only child this left me to cover the cost of her funeral, which was a big drain on us having just had Sophie.

Having life insurance could also be a big help for your children, in this day and age breaking into the housing market can be pretty tough, so a pay out could help them either pay for university (or pay of their student loans) get them on the housing ladder, or even help pay for their wedding or a dream holiday.

  2. i had never thought of it until my grandfather died, and i realised how well prepared he was and how easy it was for my grandmother to then sort everything out for him just the way he wanted it. from that moment on i have done the same.

  7. My son has a little girl in his class whose Daddy sadly died of a heart attack in his sleep – just before she started school. Heartbreaking – and frightening to think of what the mum had to face with two small children on her own. My OH works for a bank and has made sure we’re fully covered.
